Here are a few of the fun activities we enjoyed while reading Charlotte's Web together:

  • We read a few chapters of Charlotte's Web together each day.
  • After each chapter, we stopped to discuss the character's setting, problems and solutions present during each day's reading. As well as introducing any new vocabulary words.
  • We used the cooperative learing structure of stand-up hand-up pair-up to discuss our favorite part of each chapter.
  • We wrote accrostic poems using Wilbur's name
  • We played Charlotte's Web, Who Wants to Be A Millionare, created by Jennifer of Technospud.
  • We used a Venn Diagram to compare and contrast the book with the movie.
